Add a photo gallery

I’ve touched on this in the Add a play post, but here is more detail on adding photo galleries. You can find more information about galleries here.

1. First, you need to go to the page that you want to put the gallery, and enter edit mode:

2. Scroll to where you’d like to put the gallery, and click the (+) to add a content section:

3. Select GALLERY in the list and choose a gallery layout:

For your site, I have used the gallery layout marked as a starting point and applied some customization (more on that in step 5).

4. Editing the gallery is simple:
- the PHOTO icon gives you access to change what photos are visible
- the PENCIL icon allows you to change the gallery’s settings
- the UP and DOWN arrows move the sections up and down on the page
- the TRASH icon deletes the section entirely

5. The customization for your galleries are made in the SETTINGS:
- gallery TYPE is set to MASONRY
- WIDTH is either FULL or INSET (there’s not a big difference between the two)
- LAYOUT is either 2 or 3 COLUMNS, depending on how many images you have to show
- SPACING is set to 20

6. When you click the PHOTO icon, you can add, reorder and delete photos.

7. Once you’re done editing the gallery, simply click CLOSE. Then save and apply your changes by clicking DONE and then SAVE in the top left corner.
